Life Skills To prepare student-athletes for the challenges of life beyond the playing field, of Texas has been a leader in the development of the CHAMPS/Life Skills Program. Academic Success Academic counselors visit regularly with every Longhorn to be certain they’re making progress toward their degrees and to assist with any problems that may arise. Training Table Longhorn student-athletes eat at one of the best on-campus dining facilities in the nation, the B.M. ‘Mack’ Rankin Longhorn Dining Hall. Community Involvement The Longhorns regularly volunteer time visiting local elementary and middle schools, support various charity functions and visit patients at the Austin Children’s Hospital. Football Banquet Thousands of UT fans celebrate the season at the annual Football Banquet, which is held at the Frank Erwin Center.
