Former Longhorns in the NFL - Week 9 performances

Fifteen former Longhorns saw action during the ninth week of the National Football League season last weekend. Below is a summary of each player's performance.

Kansas City Chiefs

Allen played but did not record any statistics in the Chiefs' 27-7 loss at the New York Jets.
Blake Brockermeyer Blake Brockermeyer, OT
Brockermeyer helped lead the Bears offense to 262 total yards (43 rush/219 pass) in Chicago's 20-12 loss to the Green Bay Packers. The Chicago offensive line did not allow a sack for the fourth time in the last five contests.
Phil Dawson Phil Dawson, PK
Cleveland Browns

Dawson booted a 40-yard field goal and was good on his only extra point attempt in the Browns' 15-12 overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has connected on 10-of-13 field goals and all 16 of his extra point tries and accounted for 46 points this season.
Casey Hampton Casey Hampton, DT
Pittsburgh Steelers.

Hampton started the first game of his NFL career and recorded four tackles (two solo) and a six-yard sack in the Steelers' 15-12 overtime victory at the Cleveland Browns. He helped the Pittsburgh defense limit the Browns offense to only 187 total yards (74 rush/113 pass) in the three-point win.
Curtis Jackson Curtis Jackson, WR
New England Patriots
Jackson was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury last Wednesday. He will miss the remainder of the season.
Dan Neil Dan Neil, OG
Denver Broncos

Neil helped lead the Broncos offense to 338 total yards (127 rush/211 pass) in Denver's 26-16 victory at the San Diego Chargers.
Bryant Westbrook Bryant Westbrook, CB
Detoit Lions

Westbrook, in his second game of the season, recorded two solo tackles in the Lions' 20-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He returned from an Achille's injury (sustained last year) a week ago.
Cedric Woodard Cedric Woodard, DE
Seattle Seahawks

Woodard had one solo tackle in the Seahawks' 34-27 victory against the Oakland Raiders.
Tony Brackens Tony Brackens, DE
Jacksonville Jaguars
Brackens had his best all-around game of the season, posting three tackles, two sacks, a pass breakup and a forced fumble in the Jaguars' 30-13 victory against the Cincinnati Bengals. His final sack of the day resulted in a safety.
Leonard Davis Chris Carter, S
Cincinnati Bengals

Carter had two tackles in the Bengals' 30-13 loss at the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is second on the team with 37 tackles this season.

Arizona Cardinals

Davis helped pave the way for the Cardinals' offense to register 207 total yards (78 rush/129 pass) in Arizona's 17-10 loss to the New York Giants.
Shane Dronett Shane Dronett, DT
Atlanta Falcons

Dronett registered three solo tackles in the Falcons' 20-13 victory against the Dallas Cowboys. The Atlanta defensive line limited Dallas to only 96 passing yards and sacked Cowboys quarterback Ryan Leaf three times. He has 18 tackles and three sacks this season.
Priest Holmes Priest Holmes, RB
Kansas City Chiefs
Holmes rushed for 71 yards on 18 carries and caught three passes in the Chiefs' 27-7 loss at the New York Jets. He pushed his season rushing total to 842 yards, which ranks third in the NFL.
Priest Holmes Wane McGarity, PR
New Orleans Saints

McGarity returned two punts for 33 yards in the Saints' 28-27 loss at the San Francisco 49ers. He had a long return of 32 yards in the third quarter.
Shaun Rogers Shaun Rogers, DT
Detroit Lions

Rogers registered four tackles, one sack and forced a fumble in the Lions' 20-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is second on the team with 41 tackles and 2.5 sacks this season.
Ricky Williams

Ricky Williams, RB
New Orleans Saints

Williams rushed for 121 yards on 24 carries and caught three passes for 52 yards in the Saints' 28-27 loss at the San Francisco 49ers. He has rushed for 736 yards this year, which ranks sixth in the NFL.
