PK Phil Dawson booted a career-high-tying four field goals and scored 15 points in Cleveland's last-second, 40-39 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Dawson, whose final FG put Cleveland up 39-37 with 13 seconds left, connected from 34, 32, 25 and 20 yards and hit three extra points.

Jacksonville Jaguars
DE Tony Brackens, recovering from a preseason knee injury, had one tackle and a fumble recovery in Jacksonville's 28-25 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Houston Texans
DB Chris Carter had a tackle and forced a fumble on special teams in Houston's 19-10 win over the Dallas Cowboys. The Texans became only the second expansion franchise to win their initial game (1961 Minnesota Vikings are the other).

Kansas City Chiefs
RB Priest Holmes ran for 122 yards and matched a club record with four rushing touchdowns in the Chiefs' dramatic 40-39 come-from-behind win. He added a team-high six receptions for 19 yards. DB Taje Allen also saw action but registered no statistics.

DT Casey Hampton had three tackles in Pittsburgh's 30-14 loss to the New England Patriots.

Arizona Cardinals
OG Leonard Davis helped the Cardinals gain 257 total yards (70 rush/187 pass) in their 31-23 loss at the Washington Redskins. Arizona's offensive line held the Redskins defense without a sack in the eight-point loss.

CB Bryant Westbrook had three tackles and two pass breakups in the Cowboys' 19-10 loss to the Houston Texans.

DT Shaun Rogers, starting his 17th consecutive game to start his career, had four tackles in Detroit's 49-21 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
