How much of an effect does the heat have
on you during practice?
"Right now, I can't say that it has
any affect on me at all because you have to be in shape. We had all
summer to get in shape and get use to the heat, and if you aren't
prepared for the heat by now, that's your loss and you just cheated
yourself."
What does fan appreciation day mean to you as a player?
"Right after games, fan appreciation day is what I look forward
to the most. Most of the fans that come out are the ones that won't
ever get to see a real game inside the stadium. To be able to look
at all those people, especially all the little kids, and see their
faces when they see Cedric Benson and Roy Williams and all those guys
that they watch on T.V. and consider them heroes, it's a great thing.
It's a great day when those fans can come out here and we can shake
hands with them."

How did you spend
this past summer? Did you do anything fun?
"I went home every weekend and just relaxed and had fun with
my little sister, my family and my boys. I love it here in Austin,
but there is nothing like home, and I wanted to make sure everything
was taken care of at home."
If you won the lottery, what would
you do with the money?
"The first thing I would do with the money would be to buy
my parents the biggest house they could ever think of. I'd buy myself
a home of course, and then I would put some of the money away and
invest some of it too. I have to take care of my family first, though."
In your free time, what type of hobbies
do you enjoy?
"I would have to say boxing and building model cars. Right
now though, I'm a big video game fanatic. I don't really like to
go out that much, so whenever I'm in my room, there is always a
competition going on with pro and college football video games.
That's competition away from the field and you don't want to go
and lose those games just like you don't want to lose out on game
day." |
