How do you feel being out there with the offense?
"I feel really good. I feel more comfortable and more relaxed this year. Last year, coming in my first year, I was really anxious. This year, I'm really relaxed. I'm reading, going through all of my progressions and listening to everything the coaches are telling me in the meetings. I'm feeling really good."

Has your progress been pretty steady?
For the first couple of days, I was all right, but today, I think I did really well. I was standing in the pocket and going through my reads and everything, keeping my feet in motion and keeping my arm up and throwing the ball well. I think I did really good today, but the last two days, I think I did all right.

Was there something the coaches really told you to focus on to get better?
"Mostly, they were just saying to focus, reading more and just staying patient, not trying to force things in there. That's what I did today, and it just came to me. It's like it was there, just take your time, and everything popped up like it was planned in the offense."

Talk about your ability to scramble and run the option.
"I love to get out of the pocket and move around if I can run it or throw it on the run. Today, I got a chance to do it, because I haven't done it in a while, so I got out there and used my speed to see if I could get 20 yards or more."

With your athleticism, do you just need to get comfortable in the situation and let your ability take over?
"Coming from mostly an option offense in high school, I had to adjust to this, because it's mostly like a pro-style offense, like the NFL. I had to step up and take my time. I used to try to step up and make the big play all the time, but now, I can see that the big play just isn't going to be there all the time, so I have to take my time and just go with the defense that they give me."

How do you feel now that your a redshirt freshman and have an opportunity this season to play?
"I'm going to be really anxious, but I'm going to be sitting back, relaxing, going over my plays, reading and watching Chance, seeing what they're trying to do to Chance. If I get my chance to go in, I just need to be ready and keep the same thing going.
