Junior linebacker Aaron Harris became only the second player
since 1996 to record 18 or more tackles with his 18 versus Oklahoma.
He now has 54 total tackles on the season and has generally been
a nuisance for opposing offenses. The 6-0, 235-pound backer from
Mesquite, Texas, took a break from preparing for Missouri to
run the Two-Minute Drill with MackBrown-TexasFootball.com.
On defensive coordinator Greg Robinson:
He puts us in the right positions to make plays. He's got the
defense playing pretty good right now but we need to keep it
up. He does a nice job with his game plans and I like what
he has me doing. I think he lets me use my athletic ability.
On the defensive line:
Those guys are doing great right now. We can't really ask them
to do much more. They are allowing me and Derrick (Johnson)
to run around and make plays.
On the transition from defense to offense on a turnover:
Obviously, if we get an interception or something like that,
we just try and make some blocks so that we can score. You
can see the offensive guys going to make a tackle so you know
that we must have gotten the ball. Normally, they would just
stop at the end of a play but you can see they have a sense
of urgency if there has been a turnover.
On game week preparations during the season:
We just continue to work on the same things we have all season.
We are doing a lot of hitting during the week. We focus on
learning the game plan and the schemes we will use in the next
game.
On stopping Brad Smith:
I feel like we need to do the same things we do every week. We
need to do our jobs and work as a unit. |
