With Texas Tech on the horizon, the secondary is going to play a major part in the Longhorns' success. One of the leaders of that group is Irving, Texas native Michael Huff. The 6-1, 205-pounder has been all over the field this season, leading the team in pass break ups with 11, while making 45 tackles, good for third on the team. Huff sat down with MackBrown-TexasFootball.com to run the Two-Minute Drill.
On playing a passing team:
It's a little more pressure since the secondary hasn't been tested like we will be on Saturday. They'll throw it about 50 times, so we try to look at it as 50 chances for us to score on defense.
On the fatigue factor:
I think it is more tiring to play against a team that passes the ball because every play you are running and covering receivers. Then, you have to run to the ball wherever it is thrown. I don't normally get real tired out there, but this should be a good challenge.
On playing in Lubbock:
It is a crazy town. The fans love their Red Raiders and they hate us, so it is a good environment. It will definitely be a big test for us.
On the role of the defensive line:
We can definitely help each other this weekend because if we cover well, they will have an opportunity to get some sacks and if they put pressure on the QB, then that gives us a better chance to be successful.
