UT begins
preparations for Houston game

THE
PRACTICE REPORT: Texas returned to the practice field after its
first bye week of the season with a two-hour practice on Monday afternoon
at Frank Denius Fields. The Longhorns opened the workout with 15 minutes
of special teams work, followed by 30 minutes of individual drills.
The team also worked on one-on-one drills, scrimmage situations and
began to implement the offensive and defensive game plans against the
scout teams.
INFIRMARY
REPORT: Junior OT Alfio Randall (back spasms) and redshirt freshman
DT Austin Sendlein (shoulder) both returned to practice after missing
last Thursday's workout with their respective injuries.
TEXAS
TECH GAME TIME SET: The Big 12 Conference announced that UT's home
game against Texas Tech will kick off at 6 p.m. (CT) on Saturday, Sept.
29. The contest, which already is a sellout, will be televised nationally
on FOX Sports Net.
LOOKING
AHEAD: The Longhorns will continue their gameweek preparations for
the Houston game with practices on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The next two workouts will be at Denius Fields, while Thursday's session
will take place at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Saturday's
game at Houston is scheduled for 8 p.m. (CT) and it will be broadcast
nationally on ESPN2.
