* Mack Brown's post-practice comments (0:53 .mp3)

THE PRACTICE REPORT: Texas returned to the practice field after its first bye week of the season with a two-hour practice on Monday afternoon at Frank Denius Fields. The Longhorns opened the workout with 15 minutes of special teams work, followed by 30 minutes of individual drills. The team also worked on one-on-one drills, scrimmage situations and began to implement the offensive and defensive game plans against the scout teams.

INFIRMARY REPORT: Junior OT Alfio Randall (back spasms) and redshirt freshman DT Austin Sendlein (shoulder) both returned to practice after missing last Thursday's workout with their respective injuries.

TEXAS TECH GAME TIME SET: The Big 12 Conference announced that UT's home game against Texas Tech will kick off at 6 p.m. (CT) on Saturday, Sept. 29. The contest, which already is a sellout, will be televised nationally on FOX Sports Net.

LOOKING AHEAD: The Longhorns will continue their gameweek preparations for the Houston game with practices on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The next two workouts will be at Denius Fields, while Thursday's session will take place at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Saturday's game at Houston is scheduled for 8 p.m. (CT) and it will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.
