THE PRACTICE REPORT: No. 9 Texas (5-1, 2-1 Big 12) began its preparations
for this weekend's game against No. 14 Colorado (5-1, 3-0 Big 12) with
a two-hour practice on Tuesday afternoon at Frank Denius Fields. The
Longhorns opened the workout with 15 minutes of special teams work,
followed by 30 minutes of individual drills. The team also worked on
one-on-one drills, scrimmage situations and began to implement the offensive
and defensive game plans against the scout teams.
STREAKIN': The Longhorns carry an 11-game home winning streak
into Saturday's contest, which matches UT's longest home winning streak
since 1982-84. Saturday's game also will mark the ninth consecutive
sellout at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium and the 17th in the
last 19 home games overall.
LOOKING AHEAD: The Longhorns will continue their gameweek preparations
for the Colorado game with practices on Wednesday and Thursday. Tomorrow's
workout will be at Denius Fields, while Thursday's session will take
place inside Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Saturday's game
against The Buffaloes is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. (CT) and it will be
broadcast regionally by ABC Sports.
