Hardin earns national award

AUSTIN, Texas -- University of Texas Co-Director of Sports Medicine/Athletic Training Allen Hardin, who also serves as the physical therapist for Longhorns football, recently was awarded the 2003 Sports Physical Therapy Section (SPTS) Clinical Education Award.

The award is presented annually to a member of the SPTS who has made a significant contribution in the area of clinical education.

Hardin is in his sixth season as the team's physical therapist and his second as the co-director of sports medicine/athletics training. He also handles the athletic training for UT's men's golf team and is the coordinator of physical therapy clinical education for University Health Services, Sports Medicine.
