Q&A with Cedric Benson
On his last game:
Going into my last game
is exciting. I'm looking forward to it. It would be nice with it
being a rivalry game if we could go undefeated against A&M.
It would be big. I'm just enjoying the last time. I'm going to
try and block it out and just go out there and play. We need to
go out and get a victory.
On having good games
during his career against A&M:
Maybe it
is because we have a week off before we play them. I'll be looking
to have a big game. It is the last showdown in my home stadium, so
I'll just put it all out there.
On his position in the Heisman Trophy race:
I can't be thinking
about that kind of stuff going into a football game because there
are a lot of things that require your mental game. So, I just stay
focused on the game and let it work itself out.
On A&M's improvement:
I don't think
they are too much different other than having more experience.
They've been playing together for two or three years now and they
look good.
On the benefits of a bye week:
It gives your body a chance to rest.
You feel a lot better than you would if you played the week before.
It benefits you both mentally and physically.
On being involved with various national awards:
It means a lot.
It is a great honor to be passing all of those Heisman Trophy winners
on the all-time lists. It is awesome to know you are going to go
down as one of the great backs and it is nice to see that hard work
pays off. |
