- The annual donation renewal period runs from Dec. 1 through March 1.
- DONATIONS MUST BE MADE BY THE DONOR OF RECORD or the spouse listed on the account with the primary donor of record.
- Donations are accepted online via DonorNet, over the phone with credit card information, or by mail. Visit our Donate Today page for more information.
- Gifts to other areas of The University of Texas do not count toward your Longhorn Foundation account or priorities.
- Longhorn Club dues and banquet fees do not count toward annual or lifetime giving totals.
- Payment plans set up for annual contributions must be completed by the March 1 deadline.
Matching Gifts
- Matching gifts from employers are considered to be part of your donation. If you take advantage of your employer's matching gift program and receive higher annual priority based upon an increased donation, you are then responsible for maintaining that same donation level even if your employer stops matching, or you leave the company.
- If the total of your donation and the amount matched by your employer does not equal the amount due to renew your current priority benefits, YOU are responsible for the balance.
- Donors are responsible for submitting matching gift documentation to The Longhorn Foundation.
All Sports/Ticketing-Related Donations
- In order to maintain one's current seats, donors are required to make the same annual contribution they made when the tickets were originally allocated. If moving or adding seats at any time, the annual contribution changes to reflect the donation made the year the donor's season ticket locations were changed.
- Sport-specific donations count toward lifetime giving only; they do not count toward annual giving or priority in another sport.
- Sport-specific donations include suites for football, basketball, and baseball; Centennial Suite seats for football; Courtside Club seats for men's and women's basketball; and field level box seats for baseball.
- Example: Bevo has two field level box seats for baseball that he makes a donation of $1,500 each year to retain and he purchases the season tickets for these seats. Bevo also has two football season tickets, which he renews each year with an annual donation of $1,000 total. His annual contribution used to determine his priority for football parking, hospitality, Texas/Oklahoma game tickets, and postseason tickets is $1,000 (not $2,500, since $1,500 of Bevo's donation is only for his field level box seats for baseball).
- Annual giving totals are used to determine season ticket priorities, postseason tickets, parking permit locations, hospitality area scan cards, and other benefits listed on the Benefits Chart. To reward donors for their longevity, lifetime (cumulative) giving is used to break any ties in the priority process.
Corporate Tickets
- A "corporation" or "business" entity (including partnerships) is subject to an increase in its annual contribution every five years to the current market value to qualify for renewing the same seat locations. A corporate record may have different contact names each year, but the annual contribution to renew the seats will be subject to an increase every five years.
Football Season Ticket-Related Donations
- In order to renew existing football season tickets, the entire donation amount tied to those tickets must be received by March 1. Additional donations, on top of a donor's base pledge to retain seats, for increased priority on season tickets, Texas/Oklahoma game tickets, hospitality scan card eligibility, and parking for football must be received by the football season ticket deadline (which is the end of April).
- Brand new donors making a contribution for the first time must make their donation by the football season ticket deadline (which is the end of April) to be counted toward priority on season tickets, Texas/Oklahoma tickets, hospitality scan card eligibility, and parking for football.
- Annual giving totals are used to determine season ticket priorities, Texas/Oklahoma and away game tickets, postseason tickets, parking permit locations, hospitality area scan cards, and other benefits as listed on the Benefits Chart. To reward donors for their longevity, lifetime (cumulative) giving is used to break any ties in the priority process.
- Existing donors may renew their same seat locations from the previous season by fulfilling their annual donation each year and by purchasing season tickets each year.
- Location improvement is based on availability, the donor's request, the annual priority amount, and cumulative/lifetime gift total. Adding, changing, or improving seat locations can only be accomplished when other season ticket holders release their seats. For most sports, only a few seats are released each year; thus, quantity and location of open seats cannot be predicted.
- Based on past allocations, The Longhorn Foundation can provide general donation amounts necessary to be in a specific area of the stadium or arena. These estimates are NEVER A GUARANTEE, but it is the most effective way to guide and educate patrons on the seating process.
- Please call The Longhorn Foundation at (512) 471-4439 for details.
- Ticket changes and requests are based on comments submitted with your season ticket application. It is not possible to contact donors during the filling process to discuss possible changes.
- Ticket locations are not provided until tickets are mailed.
- There are no payment plans for season tickets.
- Donors who would like to receive a season ticket application for a sport other than football need to specifically request this application. Applications for volleyball, men's/women's basketball, baseball, and/or softball are not automatically sent.
Football Tickets
- The University receives an allotment of tickets for football away games. The ticket allotment for most away games is 4,000 tickets. Therefore, requests for many away games will certainly exceed the supply. It may not be possible to fill all donors' requests for tickets for certain away games.
- In order to receive Texas/OU AT&T Red River Rivalry tickets in priority, contribution must be received by March 1. If you make your donation after March 1, OU orders will be processed after those submitted by donors who met the annual giving deadline.
- Tickets for Texas/Oklahoma must be ordered with football season tickets. Away game tickets will become available for purchase in May. Longhorn Foundation donors have an established ticket priority for Texas Football home games. All orders are processed according to the priority system. The Longhorn Foundation has an allotment of 30,000 tickets for the Texas-OU game. With more than 12,500 contributors to The Longhorn Foundation and 66,000 season tickets sold in Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, supply and demand dictate that many donors will be unable to obtain tickets to the Texas-OU game. To increase your chances of receiving tickets, you may wish to increase your annual gift.
- Seat locations for the Texas/Oklahoma game vary each year.
- Texas/Oklahoma game tickets are allocated from scratch based upon availability, using a donor's annual gift to allocate seats and lifetime giving for tiebreakers.
- A donor is allowed to order up to the number of season tickets on an account, with four of those seats being in priority.
- Example: Bevo makes an annual donation of $4,500 and has eight season tickets and orders all eight for the Texas/Oklahoma game. He receives four Texas/Oklahoma tickets among other donors who give around a $4,500 annual gift level (in priority) and four tickets in the end zone (out of priority order) of the Cotton Bowl.
- Customers may request to be seated with friends/family for the Texas/Oklahoma game and any away games. All parties must request each other by noting each person's full name and customer number when tickets are ordered by the season ticket order deadline.
- Donors who request to sit with friends/family for the Texas/Oklahoma game and away games are seated in priority of the person who has the lowest annual giving level.
- A customer may order as many away game tickets as desired. Priority consideration is limited to the number of season tickets purchased, not to exceed a maximum of four tickets. All orders are processed according to the priority system.
- For higher demand away games (where demand will exceed ticket supply) that will have a run-out level, donors' orders may be reduced to the number of season tickets purchased, not to exceed four.
- The UT Athletics Department postseason ticket filling priority order is as follows:
- Legacy level
- Stadium/Arena suite patrons
- Longhorn Foundation donors prioritized by annual contribution (cumulative totals are used as tiebreakers)
- T-Association members
- UT Voting Faculty/Code 1000 employees
- Active Texas Exes
- General public
- Baseball: Donors with baseball season tickets have the opportunity to renew the exact same seats for all postseason games held at UFCU-Disch Falk Field as long as tickets are ordered by the established priority deadline.
- College World Series orders are accepted only when the team qualifies for the tournament. Priority consideration may be limited to the number of season tickets purchased and/or to a maximum of four tickets per account. All orders are processed according to the UT Athletics Department priority system giving priority first to individuals who are donors with baseball season tickets.
- Basketball: For the Big 12 and NCAA championships, all orders are processed according to the UT Athletics Department priority system. Priority consideration may be limited to the number of season tickets purchased and/or to a maximum of four tickets per account. Priority is first given to individuals who are donors with basketball season tickets.
- Football: For bowl games, all orders are processed according to the UT Athletics Department priority system. Only football season ticket holders who are donors are eligible to order tickets for postseason events.
- Depending on the game and number of tickets available, priority consideration may be limited to the number of season tickets purchased and/or up to a maximum of four tickets per account. All orders are processed according to the priority system.
- Parking permits for all sports are based on annual donation levels and are available only to Longhorn Foundation donors who also purchase season tickets in those sports.
- A donor may only receive one parking permit, per account, per sport.
- Parking permits are non-replaceable and non-transferable.
- The Longhorn Foundation cannot trade any parking permits.
- Football: Parking locations for football permits are allocated based on the priority system using annual donation levels and lifetime, cumulative giving totals as a tie-breaker. Eligible donors, those giving an annual gift of $600 or more by the football season ticket deadline, receive a Football Parking Request Form in June (after purchasing football season tickets).
- Eligible donors who do not provide feedback are allocated by annual donation (with lifetime giving used as a tie-breaker), according to the order given on the default parking chart. For more information, please visit the Parking FAQs page.
- Donors who purchase season tickets for football, men's and women's basketball, and volleyball may be eligible to receive club season scan cards to various game-day hospitality areas.
- To be eligible to receive football gameday hospitality scan cards, donors must give a minimum annual donation of $1,000 by the football season ticket deadline, which falls at the end of April.
- Donors receive the number of scan cards detailed on the Benefits Chart, not to exceed the number of season tickets a donor purchases.
- There are no guest passes.
- Donors who have Centennial Suite, Texas, and Touchdown Club seats in football or Courtside Club seats in men's and women's basketball do not receive scan cards to other hospitality areas.
- Stadium tickets are only transferable to a surviving spouse who is listed on the account. They may not be transferred to children or anyone else.
- A name (spouse) may only be removed from an account after proper documentation (either a divorce decree or authorization from both parties) has been received.
- An account may be in the name of a corporation or business entity, but it may only have one name as the contact person.
- A corporation or business entity (including partnerships) must increase its annual contribution every five years to the current market value to be eligible to renew the same seat locations.
- An annual donation is deemed 80% tax deductible by the IRS.
- A capital campaign gift is 100% tax deductible.
- Official tax receipts are issued by The University of Texas Gift Processing office within 30-60 days of your gift.
- As a state institution, donations to The University of Texas Athletics Department are deductible for federal income tax purposes by donors under IRS Section 170(c)(1) and fall under the tax ID number 74-6000203.
Note: All policies are subject to change by appropriate authorities of The University of Texas to include annual contribution levels required for priority seating in all season ticketed sports.
