Two Longhorns earn CFPA honors

Byndom named honorable mention DB of the Week, King tabbed honorable mention punter of the week

Carrington Byndom and Alex King were honored by the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) Sunday.

Byndom earned honorable mention defensive back of the week after returning an interception 28 yards for a touchdown against Oklahoma. He also tied a career high with nine tackles.

Two of Byndom's four career picks have been returned for scores. He had a 58-yard interception return for a TD last season vs. Texas A&M.

King was an honorable mention punter by averaging 49.6 yards on eight attempts against the Sooners. Two of those punts were dropped inside the 20-yard line.
