10:10 p.m. (5:03 - 4th) -The 51-yard TD pass from John Chiles to Dan Buckner were career longs for both players. It was Chiles' second career TD pass and Buckner's second career TD catch.

9:52 p.m. (10:37 - 4th Q)- Cody Johnson extended his UT freshman running back record by rushing for a TD in each of his first sven games.

Johnson's seven consecutive games with a rushing TD is tied for the fourth longest string in school history. Ricky Williams (1997-98), Cedric Benson (2003-04) and Byron Townsend (1949-50) each logged 11-game strings. Benson also had a seven game string in 2002-03.

Johnson's 10 rushing TDs this season is tied with Henry Melton (2005) for fourth on UT's single-season chart. Cedric Benson holds the school record with 12 in 2001. Jamaal Charles (2005) and Vince Young both had 11 in their freshman seasons.


 

 

 

9:43 p.m. (13:31 - 4th Q) Ryan Palmer logged his second interception of the season and the third of his career.

 

9:38 p.m. (14:16 - 4th Q) Colt McCoy's 332 passing yards is currently his third-highest total. His career best is 346 against Oklahoma State as a freshman and he threw for 333 against Rice last season.

9:29 p.m. (1:49 - 3rd Q) - Colt McCoy has the sixth 300-yard passing game of his career and his second of the season. He ranks third all-time trailing only Major Applewhite (9) and James Brown (7).

9:18 p.m. (4:58 - 3rd Q) - Colt McCoy's 2-yard TD run set the school the school record for most TDs responsible with 82. He has 70 TD passes and 12 TD runs for his career. The record was 81 by Vince Young.

9:16 p.m. (5:33 - 3rd Q) - Colt McCoy had has school record pass completion streak stopped at 17.

9:13 p.m. (7:33 - 3rd Q) - Colt McCoy equaled a school record with his 15th consecutive pass completion.

9:03 p.m. (11:13 - 3rd Q) - Colt McCoy has completed his last 12 passes. The streak is three short of the school record set by Vince Young against Colorado (6) and USC (9) in 2005 and equaled by Colt McCoy against Oklahoma State (4), Kansas State (4) and Texas A&M in 2006.

8:48 p.m. (halftime) - Colt McCoy has completed his last 10 passes for 144 yards. It marks the third time this season McCoy has completed 10 or more consecutive passes in a game. He completed a school-record 13 straight passes against both Florida Atlantic and Rice.

8:44 p.m. (halftime) - Colt McCoy was 9-of-9 for 131 yards and two TDs passing in the second quarter.

8:32 p.m. (0:41 - 2nd Q) - Jordan Shipley hauled in his ninth TD reception of the season and the 18th of his career.  Colt McCoy tied the school record for career TD's responsible for with 81. He has 70 TD passes and 11 TD rushes to tie Vince Young.

8:10 p.m. (9:39 - 2nd Q) - Texas has scored at least 25 points in 47 of its last 53 games.

8:09 p.m. (9:39 - 2nd Q) - Chris Ogbonnaya recorded his second rushing TD of the game, third of the season and the seventh of his career. His 10-yard TD capped a 3-play, 41-yard drive which took 1:16 off the clock.

8:05 p.m. (10:55 - 2nd Q) - Missouri came into the game with just two 3-and-out's on offense in 2008. Today, the Longhorns have forced Missouri to 3-and-out three times through the first 20 minutes.

8:01 p.m. (11:54 - 2nd Q) - Colt McCoy's TD pass was his 18th of the season and the 69th of his career.

7:59 p.m. (11:58 - 2nd Q) - Malcolm Williams caught his first career TD pass. The 32-yard score capped a six-play, 43-yard drive covering 2:56.

7:56 p.m. (12:56 - 2nd Q) - Texas snapped an 18-game streak in which Missouri had scored in the first quarter of a game. The last time Missouri was held without scoring in the first quarter was the second game of the 2007 season against Mississippi.

7:50 p.m. (0:00 - 1st Q) - Texas has outscored the opponents 69-16 this season.

7:45 p.m. (1:35 - 1st Q) - Chris Ogbonnaya logged his second rushing TD of the season and the sixth of his career. His 9-yard TD run capped a nine-play, 82-yard drive which took 3:25 off the clock.

7:40 p.m. (3:41 - 1st Q) - Brandon Collins hauled in a career-long 38-yard pass to help Texas convert on a 3rd-and-6 opportunity.

7:35 p.m. (5:15 - 1st Q) - On UT's opening drive, Chris Ogbonnaya recorded his 50th career reception. Ogbonnaya has 21 on the season, equaling his total from 2007.

7:28 p.m. (8:03 - 1st Q) - Colt McCoy logged his fifth rushing TD of the season and the 11th of his career. It capped a 12-play, 94-yard scoring drive which took 4:30 off the clock. McCoy was 5-for-5 for 38 yards and rushed three times for 13 yards on the drive.

7:25 p.m. (8:03 - 1st Q) - Vondrell McGee rushed 20 yards on his first play as a substitute. It is his longest rush of the season.

7:20 p.m. - Quan Cosby has caught a pass in 38 consecutive games. The second longest streak in school history behind Roy Williams' 47 from 2000-2003.

7:15 p.m. - Texas starters on defense included DE Brian Orakpo, DT Roy Miller, DT Lamarr Houston, SLB Sergio Kindle, MLB Rashad Bobino, WLB Roddrick Muckelroy, RCB Ryan Palmer, RS Earl Thomas, LS Blake Gideon, LCB Chykie Brown and DB Deon Beasley.

7:09 p.m. - Missouri won the toss and elected to receive. Texas elected to defend the North End Zone.

7:07 p.m. - Today's game captains for Texas are #12 Colt McCoy, #38 Roddrick Muckelroy, #44 Rashad Bobino, #74 Adam Ulatoski.

6:32 p.m. - With the New York Yankees not in the MLB Playoffs, Derek Jeter is among the dignitaries on the sidelines for today's game.

6:23 p.m. - The entire squad has entered the field for pre-game stretching and Bevo looks content in his normal stomping grounds.
