Both marks are one shy of the respective records held by Major Applewhite who had five 300-yard games in 1999 and nine for his career. 1:48 p.m. (2:11 - 3rd Q) - Texas has scored at least 40 points in seven of its 10 games this season, including five of its six home games. 1:43 p.m. (2:59 - 3rd Q) - Colt McCoy hit Jordan Shipley on a 15-yard TD pass. The drive covered 65 yards on 13 plays, taking 5:46 off the clock. The TD pass was McCoy's fifth of the game, 28th of the season and the 79th of his career. The TD reception was Shipley's 11th of the season and 20th of his career. The 11 is one shy of the single-season school record of 12 held by Limas Sweed (2006) and Roy Williams (2002) and the 20 for the career puts him in a tie with Sweed for second place on UT's all-time list, trailing only Roy Williams (36). 1:34 p.m. (7:26 - 3rd Q) - James Kirkendoll has hauled in a career high four receptions in the game. He previously had two receptions on two occasions. 1:24 p.m. (9:45 - 3rd Q) - Colt McCoy hit Brandon Collins on a 40-yard TD pass. The drive covered 75 yards on eight plays, taking 3:46 off the clock. The TD pass was McCoy's 27th of the season and the 78th of his career. The 27 TD passes this season ranks second on UT's list behind only the 29 TD passes he threw last season. The TD reception was the first of Collins' career. 1:21 p.m. (11:12 - 3rd Q) - Foswhitt Whittaker has equaled career highs for rush attempts with 12 and rushing yards with 72. Both prior marks came against UTEP. 12:56 p.m. (halftime) - Jordan Shipley and Quan Cosby have combined for 10 receptions in the first half and have moved their combined season total to 132, passing Nate Jones and Quan Cosby's total of 130 from last season. The 132 ranks second on UT's single-season list behind Kwame Cavil (100) and Ryan Nunez (56) combining for 156 receptions in 1999. 12:54 p.m. (halftime) - Quan Cosby has his fifth career 100-yard receiving game and his third of the season. 12:38 p.m. (1:58 - 2nd Q) - Colt McCoy hit Quan Cosby for a 26-yard TD pass. The drive covered 73 yards on five plays, taking 1:15 off the clock. The TD pass was McCoy's 26th of the season and the 77th of his career. The TD catch was Cosby's sixth of the season and 15th of his career. He moved into a tie with David Thomas (2002-05) and Lovell Pinkney (1992-94) for sixth place on UT's career TD reception list. 12:32 p.m. (3:46 - 2nd Q) - Texas scored its 63rd non-offensive TD since 1999. Cosby and Shipley both have 60 or more receptions this season. It marks just the second time UT has had two or more players with 60 or more receptions in a season. The drive covered 65 yards on nine plays, taking 3:56 off the clock. The TD pass was McCoy's 24th of the season and the 75th of his career. The TD catch was Cosby's fifth of the season and the 14th of his career. Cosby moves into a tie with Wane McGarity and Johnny "Lam" Jones for eighth place on UT's career TD reception list. It also marked the 41st consecutive game in which Cosby has caught a pass. 11:16 a.m. (12:27 - 1st Q) - On the opening drive, Jordan Shipley passed Tony Jones (108) for ninth place on UT's career reception list. 11:09 a.m. - Texas wins the coin toss.
