Originally built as the Vernon F. "Doc" Neuhaus-Darrell K Royal Athletics Complex, the football support facility at the south end of the stadium was renamed the W.A. "Tex" Moncrief, Jr.-V.F. "Doc" Neuhaus Athletic Center as part of the recent capital improvements to the stadium area. Expanded and improved, the state-of-the art facility was completely redone to include coaches' offices, a players' lounge and academic center, and a trophy room plus totally renovated areas in strength training, locker and equipment rooms, meeting rooms, training areas and the team auditorium.
